Digital marketing has evolved beyond the realms of social media, and understanding the diverse social media preferences of each age group is the key to success.

Baby Boomers prefer YouTube (70%) and Facebook (68%). In contrast, Gen X opts for Facebook and Twitter. Millennials are diverse, with 92-95% on YouTube, 70-78% on Facebook, 69-79% on Instagram, and 53-64% on Snapchat. Interestingly, approximately half of Millennials and Gen Z engage with Twitter.

Crucially, social media algorithms pose a challenge. Baby Boomers shy away from lengthy content, preferring bite-sized information, while Millennials and Gen Z crave creativity beyond simple blog posts.
